Colon necrosis as a complication of acute pancreatitis.

Abstract                                                                                                                        Acute pancreatitis should be recognized as a potential cause of necrosis of the colon. Traditionally it has received little interest to colonic complications of acute pancreatitis. However, the development of necrosis of colon worse prognosis of acute pancreatitis significantly. Currently CT is essential in the diagnosis of many of the complications that can occur in acute pancreatitis, usually performed in these patients’ evolutionary controls with this imaging technique. A case of necrosis of the colon diagnosed on CT scan performed on patients with acute pancreatitis occurs.
